Last weekend Walking Art traveled to Burbank for Creation Entertainment's first charity convention, Salute to Women of Sci-Fi. It was such a pleasure being a vendor at this event. It was a special time! I got a photo op with the the ladies of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, as proceeds went to help victims of the L.A fires. Also, a portion of the money Walking Art: Made By Malissa made at the convention is being donated to three charities - Best Friends, St. Jude's, and National Kidney Foundation. This convention saw the in-person introduction of two new designs: "Resistance"...

Introducing Something New!!! Resistance - This drawing was inspired by one of my favorite characters in all of Star Trek! She was/is a symbol of strength, vulnerability, resilience, intelligence, femineity, and growth.  This piece had an interesting evolution. I started out wanting to do a bit of an art deco style with the drawing but it didn't capture the immensity of her eyes that I wanted. So, I went back to the drawing board! On my second attempt her outline was born!  I then took the drawing and put it on the computer. I cleaned it up. Darkened and thickened...

Hello friends!  2024/2025 This may be a bit late, but goodbye 2024! Welcome 2025! 2024 saw Walking Art: Made By Malissa go on the road with Creation Entertainment's Trek Tour! It was so wonderful getting to see many of you in person at these particular shows! Thank you for your stories, for the laughs, and all of your support! I appreciate you all more than I can express! The end of 2024 also brought forth a new Silhouette drawing called, "Undamaged"! It was made available both on the online store, as well as, at the last convention of last year....

A new line is coming to The Introverted Republic by way of Walking Art: Made By Malissa. Inspired by Malissa's fitness journey a new set of drawings will gradually be released on various workout apparel.The first of these drawings is the "Grounded Quad Stretch."  **In other news, The Introverted Republic is undergoing some management shifts. Expect to see some minor changes in the coming year! Thank you all for your continued support. We are looking forward to this fresh new year!!
